Tugs around Falmouth

Here's a selection of pictures from tugs seen around Falmouth last week. Quite surreal seeing so many ex Cardiff tugs in one place again!

A&P's port tugs (Ankorva, Percuil and St Piran)

St Piran (ex Hallgarth)

Motor Yacht 'Talitha'

Reportedly owned by the Getty family seen here in Falmouth. More info can been seen here.

Penzance Harbour

Penzance Harbour looking a lot less cluttered these days with a mix of pleasure and commercial craft

MTS Terramare, a recent addition to MTS's fleet seen demobilising equipment from a Falmouth Divers project in the Isles of Scilly.

Preperations continue on 'Mali Rose' which will replace Gry Maritha on the   Isles of Scilly freight route.

Alongside Mali Rose is the former Swedish Ice Breaker/Rescue vessel Vega. The vessel has been in Penzance for well over 10 years as the project appears to be stalled.

How Vega may look oneday . . .

Morning cruise on 'Soleil d'Or'

A few pictures taken on a cruise aboard the former Tresco launch 'Soleil d'Or'. The boat spent many years in Cardiff where she was completely rebuilt. Now owned by a Falmouth Pilot she is looking pristine in her well suited cruising area.

St Ives

On  lovely Sunny day (Tuesday).

Gry Maritha, a loyal Scilly servant

Soon to be replaced by Mali Rose here's Gry Maritha alongside in Penzance. She was purchased in 1989, the original report on her suitability to the route can be read here.
