A few pictures taken on a cruise aboard the former Tresco launch 'Soleil d'Or'. The boat spent many years in Cardiff where she was completely rebuilt. Now owned by a Falmouth Pilot she is looking pristine in her well suited cruising area.
Whilst some ships on the National Historic Ships Register receive multi million pound grants and backing from bodies such as the Heritage Lottery Fund others are not so lucky. One such example is the fishing vessel 'Excellent'. Seen here awaiting the chainsaws at Newlyn Harbour. Below are also a couple of pictures of her returning to Newlyn in happier times for her long standing owners, Stevensons. In the late 90's she attended a number of Maritime Festival's promoting her owners Heritage and Cornish Fishing, at which time she was the oldest working Cornish Fishing Vessel.
