Gloucester Tall Ships Festival 2013

Yesterday we visited the now Annual gathering of 'Tall Ships' in Gloucester Dock.

A smart Dutch Barge Replica moored by Llanthony Bridge.

Looking into the dock basin from Llanthony Bridge.

A close up of the model boat seen in the above shot. The Steam Tug Mayflower which worked the canal for many years. Now preserved in Bristol she is the worlds oldest steam tug.

The preserved London Fireboat Massey Shaw, recently restored in Gloucester.  She will soon sail under her own power to London - voyage plan can be found here. Camera's to the ready in Mounts Bay!

Wide angle view of Gloucester Docks taken with my new 10-20mm lens.

Former Steam Yacht Amazon and Ruth of Penzance.

Selection of inland waterways vessels.

Bristol based Matthew, recently returned from France. Matthew is now managed and skippered by Rick Wakeman. Trips being offered this season can be found here

Square Sail vessel Phoenix. A regular sight around the West Country and Bristol Channel in recent years, no stranger to the big screen either. History can be found here.
