PS Medway Queen

Today the replica paddle steamer Medway Queen departed Bristol where she was built at the Albion Dockyard to commence her journey to the River Medway. With a poor weather forecast tug and tow have entered Avonmouth where they will await suitable conditions. It is highly likely PS Medway Queen became the last paddle steamer to transit the River Avon.

I'd be surprised if a Cornish port/harbour didnt get a visit from her.

Lovely shots of such a historic vessel . Pity really that the weather was so good - assume it is The Medway Queen that Christine has just towed past MOunt's Bay - Looks like she may have been waiting in Avonmouth for suitable conditions - really calm today - just right ! Sue
