Winter work at T Nielsen's

Gloucester docks is home to T Nielsen & Company, a major player in classic boat restoration and annual refits. 

Johanna Lucretia is a common sight around the Bristol Channel and South West.

Gloucester Docks

The former steam bucket which I understand is in operational condition following recent restoration berthed at the National Waterways Museum.

Dredging is underway in Gloucester Dock and the nearby canal being carried out by Land and Water and utilising their dredger Serendipity.



Lydney Harbour

A nice Achilles 24 at rest, I owned one of these for a couple of years previously.

MV Balmoral to Bristol City Docks

Few pictures taken onboard  today as she departed Avonmouth for Bristol City Docks and her annual winter lay up in the heart of the City. My first trip of the season on her!
